Reality TV personality Anita Natacha Akide, fondly called Tacha, has taken a swipe at Nigerian youths, accusing them of abandoning the country’s pressing challenges.
In a series of tweets on X, Tacha described the younger generation as lacking the boldness and selflessness shown by those who fought for national change in previous decades.
She voiced concern over the rising focus on personal comfort and emigration among youths, noting that many are now more invested in building social media followings than in engaging with Nigeria’s development.

Drawing a comparison with the past, she praised earlier generations for standing firm in political struggles and risking their lives for their beliefs.
Tacha stressed that her criticism wasn’t aimed at specific individuals but at a pattern of behavior she sees among many young Nigerians today.
