The Transmission Company of Nigeria has scheduled a 20-minute electricity interruption in parts of Suleja and adjoining communities on Saturday, September 26, 2026, to facilitate preventive maintenance at the Suleja Transmission Substation.
The maintenance will run from 1pm to 4pm and cover the bay switchgear and associated equipment on the Gwarinpa-Suleja 132/33kV Line 2.

Affected areas include Suleja Township, FCT College of Education, Field Base, Zuba, Sabon Wuse and their environs within the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company network.
TCN said the brief interruption will enable the transfer of electricity load from Gwarinpa-Suleja Line 2 to Kubwa-Suleja Line 1, allowing engineers to carry out the work without a prolonged outage.
The company said the exercise is part of its annual preventive maintenance programme and apologized to consumers in the affected communities for the inconvenience.
