Tekashi 6ix9ine Sent Back to Prison for Violations

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has been ordered to serve three months in federal prison after a Manhattan court ruled he violated the terms of his supervised release.

The ruling came following a hearing on December 5, 2025, where Hernandez, legally known as Daniel Hernandez, admitted to assaulting a man in Florida and possessing cocaine and MDMA during a police search at his Miami home in March 2025.

The judge said his repeated violations showed a clear disregard for court-ordered conditions.

Hernandez has been under supervised release since 2020, after an early release from a two-year federal sentence handed down in 2019 for racketeering and related offenses linked to the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

Prosecutors said he took part in gang-related robberies and assaults before cooperating with federal authorities, which led to a reduced sentence.

Despite that leniency, Hernandez has repeatedly breached his release terms.

In late 2024, he spent 45 days in federal custody for earlier violations, including unauthorized travel and failed drug tests.

The court warned that further infractions would trigger stricter consequences.

This year’s violations stemmed from an investigation into the Florida assault, which led authorities to search his Miami residence.

Officers found small amounts of illegal drugs, which Hernandez later admitted were his. The assault itself was also deemed a direct violation of his release conditions.

Hernandez is required to report to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on January 6, 2026, to begin serving the three-month sentence.

He will remain on supervised release after completing the term, with the court signaling tighter oversight going forward.
