Tension has gripped the people of restive Burkina Faso following the arrest of President Roch Marc Christian Kabore on Monday by Mutinous troops.
Security sources said that Kabore is currently being detained in army barracks by the soldiers.
The development came a day after an uprising in the country.
According to security sources, “President Kabore, the head of parliament and the ministers are effectively in the hands of the soldiers” at the Sangoule Lamizana barracks in the capital Ouagadougou.
