Spiritual leader and founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu’s reelection bid in 2027 may face serious threats — not just from Labour Party’s Peter Obi, but from a trio of yet-to-be-named political figures.
In a statement issued through his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, on Sunday, Ayodele declared that Obi alone lacks the political momentum to upend Tinubu’s chances. However, he hinted at the emergence of three “strategic individuals” who, if aligned with an opposition coalition, could pose a formidable challenge to the president’s second-term aspirations.
“Peter Obi cannot single-handedly destabilize President Tinubu’s ambition. He does not have the capacity to win on his own,” the prophet said. “The coalition opposing Tinubu is still lacking key personalities who can sway the electorate. But once these three individuals I’m talking about step in, the President’s 2027 dream will be shaken.”
Primate Ayodele acknowledged Tinubu’s strides in governance, stating that he has outperformed former President Muhammadu Buhari and holds the potential to do even better if given a second term.

Still, he issued a strong caution about complacency, especially concerning political alliances in northern Nigeria.
“Tinubu must prioritize the North and be strategic with appointments. Betrayal could come from those he trusts the most,” Ayodele warned. “If he fails to place the right people in key positions, especially in the North, his path to victory will be blocked — even if he has done the work.”
The cleric declined to disclose the identities of the three figures he believes could weaken Tinubu’s grip on power, saying he would reveal their names in due time.
As the political landscape gradually shifts toward 2027, Ayodele’s remarks add a fresh layer of intrigue to the race, with attention now fixed on the possible emergence of new power brokers capable of altering Nigeria’s electoral dynamics.
