Tim Godfrey Decries Rising Insecurity, Faults Government Silence

Gospel singer Tim Godfrey has expressed deep concern over the escalating wave of violence in the country, condemning both the recent abduction of students and a terrorist attack on a church. The artiste shared his frustration in an Instagram post on Wednesday, describing the situation as heartbreaking and the government’s response as “appalling.”

In the brief but emotionally charged message, Godfrey questioned the frequency and severity of the attacks, asking: “Where and when does this end?” He noted that students were abducted just a day earlier, followed by an attack on a place of worship, events that he said underscore the worsening insecurity faced by Nigerians.

The singer lamented what he perceived as silence from authorities, stressing that leadership must respond with urgency and empathy. “The silence from the Nigerian government is appalling. God help us,” he wrote, adding Nigerian-flag emojis to underline his plea for national attention and unity.
