Tinubu Approves Nigerian Delegation for Nigeria-US Joint Security Group

President Bola Tinubu has approved the Nigerian delegation for the US-Nigeria Joint Working Group, a new security partnership designed to strengthen cooperation with the United States on emerging threats across the country.

The delegation, announced in a statement on Thursday, November 27, follows the recent high-level visit to Washington, DC, led by the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

The agreement to set up the Joint Working Group was one of the outcomes of that trip.

According to the statement, Ribadu will lead the Nigerian side and will work with senior officials drawn from key security, intelligence, diplomatic, and humanitarian agencies.
