Tinubu to decide on minimum wage Thursday

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has indicated that President Bola Tinubu is set to make a crucial decision on the new minimum wage this Thursday.

The decision follows planned discussions between the President and organized labor representatives, aimed at finalizing an amount to be proposed to the National Assembly.

Addressing reporters after a Federal Executive Council meeting, Minister Idris disclosed that deliberations had been held regarding the national minimum wage.

He further stated that the President is open to increasing the wage but is mindful of potential inflationary impacts that could burden the nation.
