Ademola Adeleke has been removed as governor of Osun State by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Osogbo.
The Independent National Electoral Commission should revoke the Certificate of Return it gave to Adeleke and hand it to former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, according to a split decision by the panel of two to one.
According to the majority ruling, which was read by the chairman, Justice Tertse Kume, Oyetola received the majority of legitimate votes of 314,931 as opposed to Adeleke’s 290,266.
