Troops of the Nigerian Army have neutralised two suspected kidnappers and successfully rescued an abducted civilian during a coordinated raid in Kogi State.
According to a post shared by security analyst, Zagagola Magama on Monday, the operation occurred in Olamaboro Local Government Area and was carried out by troops of the 12 Brigade stationed at the Ofante–Unyi Ogugu Patrol Base, working in collaboration with police operatives.
It was gathered that the joint security team acted on credible intelligence regarding the abduction of a civilian in Orakam village.
Acting swiftly, the operatives tracked the suspects to a hideout located at Adego Trailer Park.
Upon arrival, the team reportedly engaged the kidnappers in a gunfight. Two of the suspects were killed during the exchange, while others managed to flee the scene.

The abducted victim was rescued unharmed during the operation.
Items recovered include a mobile phone and a sum of ₦40,000, believed to be linked to the criminal activity.
Authorities said efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects and dismantle the wider kidnapping network operating within the area.
The operation marks another step in ongoing security efforts to curb kidnapping and related crimes in Kogi State and surrounding regions.
