Troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF) Operation FANSAN YAMMAN have arrested five suspected kidnappers during a patrol at Dei-Dei in the Federal Capital Territory.
According to intelligence Sources quoted by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama on Monday, the suspects were arrested while attempting to abduct one Babagana Abubakar at Shagari Quarters.
The suspects identified as Suleman Ibrahim, 32; Mohammed Peter, 32; Bulus John, 43; Ibrahim Mohammed, 18; and Gamdo Josiah, 35, allegedly posed as policemen on an arrest operation.
The police divisional officer at Dei-Dei, SP Doma, confirmed that no officers were dispatched on any operation.
It was gathered that one suspect escaped during pursuit but later died of exhaustion.

Items recovered include a Peugeot Expert bus, two fabricated AK-47 rifles, four mobile phones, four ammunition cartridges, two radios, two knives, a black jacket, a handcuff, five hunters’ ID cards, two power banks, seven ATM cards and ₦15,700.
SP Doma stated that, the suspects and exhibits were handed over to the Suleja Area Command for investigation.
He further disclosed that the deceased suspect’s remains were deposited at the Sabon Wuse General Hospital.
