The White House on Monday confirmed that a 45-day ceasefire with Iran is under consideration, but stated that President Donald Trump has “not signed off” on the proposal and that military operations are ongoing.
US media reported that Washington had received the ceasefire proposal from mediators aiming to pause the Middle East conflict.

“This is one of many ideas, and POTUS (Trump) has not signed off on it.
Operation Epic Fury continues,” a White House official told AFP, adding that the president will address the conflict in a press conference scheduled for 1:00 pm (1700 GMT).
