Two More Nigerian Athletes Reach Women’s 400m Semi-Finals At Commonwealth Games

Nigeria’s campaign at the Commonwealth Games received another boost on Monday as two more athletes secured places in the women’s 400 metres semi-finals in Glasgow, Scotland.

Patience Okon-George and Esther Elo Joseph both booked their spots in the next round after impressive performances at Scotstoun Stadium.

Okon-George crossed the finish line in 53.27 seconds, while Joseph delivered an even quicker run of 52.82 seconds to comfortably advance.

Their qualification adds to Team Nigeria’s growing success in athletics, with the country’s athletes continuing to make a strong statement at the Games.

The duo will now shift focus to the semi-finals as they aim to keep Nigeria’s medal hopes alive in the women’s 400m event.
