United Edge Chelsea 2-1 at Old Trafford

Manchester United earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Chelsea in a dramatic Premier League encounter at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The game burst into life early when Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sánchez was sent off in the 5th minute for a reckless challenge outside his box, forcing the visitors to play almost the entire match with 10 men.

United quickly capitalised on the numerical advantage as Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring in the 14th minute.

Casemiro then made it 2-0 in the 37th minute with a close-range finish, delighting the home crowd.

However, the Brazilian midfielder was dismissed in first-half stoppage time (45+6), leaving both teams reduced to 10 men and shifting the momentum.

But United held firm through the closing stages to seal all three points and pile further pressure on Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

The win keeps United’s momentum alive as they look to build consistency in their Premier League campaign.
