Comrade Okiemute Sowho, an aide to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, has been shot dead by unknown gunmen.
The men of the underworld, suspected to be assassins, reportedly murdered Sowho on Saturday evening along Crudas axis, by Akintola Road in Sapele area of the state.
Before his death, Sowho, also known as Daddy K, served as the Special Assistant to Okowa on Youth Development.
His killers, it was learnt, stormed the area in a white Toyota Venza car, shot him and left him to die without touching or collecting any of his belongings.
They were said to have fled the scene after shooting the governor’s aide, said to be in his 40s.
The death of the aide was confirmed by the state acting Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Edafe Bright.
Bright said the report of the death of the governor’s aide was true but that police were yet to get details of what happened.
