Nigerian gospel artist Steve Crown has tied the knot with his partner, Ruth Thomas, in a wedding that has captured the attention of both fans and fellow musicians.

The wedding, which was held in Lagos on Saturday sparked a flurry of reactions on social media after a video emerged of Ruth kneeling before Steve as she took her vows.

The video, posted by fellow gospel singer Joe Praize and Neon Adeojo on X, captured the emotional moment Ruth, dressed in an elegant white gown, professed her love and commitment.

In her heartfelt vows, Ruth declared, “I will be your heaven of peace and source of unwavering support.

“I vow to reason with an open heart and to share my dreams. I promise to be your cheerleader, your partner, and your anchor.

“With you, I have discovered the true essence of love, and I vow to cherish it with all that I am. I vow to love you unconditionally; I choose you every day, and to honour our secret bond.”

Her decision to kneel sparked a flurry of reactions online. Some admired it as a sign of humility and profound respect for her husband, while others criticised the gesture.

Despite the mixed reactions, most comments praised the couple’s expression of love and dedication.

Following the ceremony, Steve expressed gratitude to God for blessing him with a woman after His own heart.
