An employee of Vine Crest College, Magaji Adebanjo, has pleaded for urgent help from Nigerians after he was abducted by gunmen along the Kabba road in Kogi State.
It was gathered that Adebanjo, who hails from Imo Arigidi in Akoko area of Ondo State, was kidnapped on his way from Iperu to Abuja.
His abductors are demanding a ransom of N100 million for his release.
In a viral video seen by First Daily correspondent on Thursday, Adebanjo is seen tied up, exhausted, and visibly terrified, with a gun pointed at his head as he begs for help.
Another man, who appears to have been abducted alongside him, is seen beside him with an injured knee, looking distressed and unable to stand properly.
Speaking, Adebanjo identified himself and recounted the moment he was abducted.
“My name is Mogaiji Adebanjo. I’m from Imo Arigidi Akoko in Ondo State. I work with Vine Crest College. When I was coming from Iperu, going to Abuja, I was kidnapped along the Kabba road,” he said.

“They are demanding N100 million.”
He further begged for assistance, explaining that he has a pregnant wife, a four-year-old son, and an aged father who depend on him.
“Please, help me. I don’t want to die. I have a pregnant wife and a four-year-old son. Please, help me. They want N100 million. I was taken yesterday. Please, help me,” he said.
The incident adds to mounting concerns over the surge in kidnappings along major highways in Kogi and neighbouring states, where commuters increasingly face threats from armed bandits.
