President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday calmly defused a brief security scare during his official visit to Kaduna State, after an unidentified man attempted to breach the presidential security cordon.

The incident occurred while the President was delivering a speech at the commissioning of infrastructure projects executed by Governor Uba Sani.

As Tinubu addressed the crowd, the man suddenly moved toward him, prompting swift intervention by members of the presidential security team, who restrained him before he could get too close.

In a composed and measured response, Tinubu turned to the security agents and said, “Leave him alone,” before continuing his speech without pause.

“Handled with utmost professionalism by secret service agents without any disruption to Mr President’s speech or the event,” Ogra wrote.

The identity and motive of the man remain unknown, but the programme continued without further incident.
