Oborevwori praised the First Lady for her unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of Nigerians, highlighting the positive effects of RHI since it was established in 2023.

The video shared by an X user, ChucksEricE, and was seen by First News on Wednesday, captured the moment students were rejecting the president’s wife.

As part of the event, professional kits were presented to the wives of South-South governors, who serve as RHI coordinators in their respective states.

The video has since sparked widespread social media reactions.

In the clip, the event’s Master of Ceremony introduced Oluremi Tinubu as “everyone’s mother,” a common title for First Ladies.

The nursing students, on the other hand, rejected Tinubu’s wife as their mother.

When the MC declared, “Na our mama be this” (translated as “This is our mother”), the students responded in unison, “Na your mama be this” (translated as “This is your mother”), signaling their rejection of the title.

The reasons behind the students’ refusal to accept the First Lady as a mother remain uncertain.
