Worshippers at the Central Mosque in Auchi, Edo State, were thrown into panic on Friday afternoon after a sudden swarm of bees invaded the prayer hall, forcing an abrupt end to Juma’at prayers.

Eyewitnesses on Facebook commented that the bees descended just as the congregational prayer was about to commence, sending dozens of worshippers fleeing in confusion and fear.

A video seen by First News correspondent on Monday, shows chaotic scenes of worshippers abandoning their prayer mats and dashing out of the mosque to escape the unexpected onslaught.
