We’ll End Banditry Where APC Failed, ADC Replies Katsina Gov Radda

Governor Diko Radda of Katsina State has questioned how the African Democratic Congress (ADC) plans to tackle the state’s worsening insecurity if voted into power.

Bolaji Abdulahi, a former Minister of Sports and spokesperson for the ADC, made this known on Thursday, July 17, in a post shared on his X account.

He wrote, “Governor Diko Radda of Katsina wants to know what the coalition will do differently. Good question!

“To start with, we will end banditry in his state, a task that the APC government has long given up on.”

Abdulahi, a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), insisted that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed woefully in securing the country.

He assured that the ADC has already developed clear plans to end terrorism and banditry in Katsina.

His remarks come amid growing concerns over security in the state. Recently, the Katsina State Government revealed that some communities have started negotiating directly with bandits to ensure their safety.

According to the Commissioner for Information, Bala Zango, the remaining armed groups now operate along the border areas and within forest reserves.

He said some farmers have resorted to striking deals with the bandits to continue their agricultural activities.

Zango noted that while the state maintains a strict policy of not negotiating with terrorists, it remains open to rehabilitating and reintegrating any bandit who renounces violence.
