Nigerian music heavyweights Wizkid and Davido have emerged victorious at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards, adding more prestigious honors to their decorated careers.
The 56th edition of the awards took place on the 19th and 20th of February respectively, celebrating excellence in the arts and media.
Wizkid clinched the award for Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration for his hit song with Brent Faiyaz, marking his sixth NAACP Image Award a milestone that cements his status as Nigeria’s most awarded artist in the event’s history.

Meanwhile, Davido secured the win for Outstanding International Song, thanks to his collaboration with Chris Brown.
However, it wasn’t a triumphant night for all Nigerian artists, as Tems, Burna Boy, and others fell short in their respective categories.
Organized by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the awards recognize and celebrate remarkable contributions in entertainment, culture, and media.
