After years of tension, Nigerian music stars Wizkid and Reekado Banks have finally mended fences, rekindling a camaraderie that once seemed lost.
The long-anticipated reconciliation came to light when the duo was spotted together for the first time since 2020, signaling the end of their rift.
Fans will remember that their fallout began when Wizkid publicly called Reekado a “clout animal” on social media.
This came after Reekado announced the release of their collaboration, Omo Ologo, during the height of the #EndSARS protests a move Wizkid strongly condemned.
At the time, Wizkid had fiercely reacted, commenting, “Delete this dude. I can’t believe you are even doing this at a time like this. Old song! #endsars fool!” a statement that widened the gulf between them.

However, the tides have turned. On the 25th of February, 2025, Wizkid made an unexpected visit to Reekado Banks’ newly opened lounge in Lagos, marking the beginning of their renewed friendship.
In a now-viral video, the two were seen sharing a meal at a Lagos restaurant, joined by rapper Shallipopi. Their body language spoke volumes, hinting that whatever animosity once existed had been replaced with mutual understanding.
