The world is watching closely as fresh tensions erupt between Israel and Iran.
In the early hours of Friday, Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Iranian soil, describing it as a “pre-emptive, precise, combined offensive based on high-quality intelligence.”
The military operation has been code-named Operation Rising Lion.
Countries have begun issuing strong reactions:
China’s embassy in Iran described the situation as “severe and complex.”
Chinese nationals have been advised to stay alert and take personal safety measures seriously.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio distanced America from the strikes.
He said, “our top priority is protecting American forces in the region.”
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for calm.
According to a statement from his office reported by Reuters, he “condemned any military escalation” and urged both countries to act with restraint.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs, through spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, said it was keeping a close watch.
India urged both parties to avoid worsening the crisis, noting its “close and friendly” ties with Israel and Iran.
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry issued one of the strongest statements yet.
Calling the action “blatant Israeli aggression,” it said the strike “undermines Iran’s sovereignty and security and constitutes a clear violation of international laws and norms.”
As the crisis unfolds, global leaders remain on edge, bracing for what could come next in the already volatile Middle East.
