Popular Nollywood actress and producer, Yvonne Jegede, on Monday celebrated herself as a movie titled ‘Marrying a Campbell’, which she co-produced, bagged nine out of 10 awards at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival.
The mother of one took to her Instagram page to display the award plaques, as she disclosed that she was the brain behind the story of the movie, which is yet to be released.
According to her, she was also part of the scriptwriters and actors in the movie.
“I co-produced a movie Marrying A Campbell to be released in 2022. Story by Yvonne Jegede. Script by Yvonne Jegede, Patrick Nnamani and Jane Odogwu, She wrote.
“I acted and I co-Executive produced. We just bagged nine out of 10 awards at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival. Allow me to brag because I brag differently.”
The role interpreter went on to list the award categories won by the movie in the recently conducted festival.
The awards include Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Actor (African Film), Best Movie Director Africa, Best First Feature – Africa, Best Comedy Drama – Nollywood, and Best Movie Producer – Africa.
The movie was directed by Ayana Saunders and featured the likes Bolanle Ninolowo, Dave Ogbeni, Chelsea Eze, among others.
