Former presidential candidate and pioneer Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Shitu Mohammed Kabir, MON, OFR, has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, saying continuity in leadership would help consolidate ongoing reforms and drive national development.
In a statement at the weekend, Kabir said he was confident Tinubu would win re-election in 2027, arguing that another four years would promote political stability, strengthen infrastructure and improve security across the country.
He also urged the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to work with the President, saying such collaboration would serve the country’s interest and contribute to national progress.
According to Kabir, political competition should end after elections, with leaders putting Nigeria above partisan interests.

The former IPAC chairman maintained that continuity in governance would provide the stability needed to sustain economic reforms and accelerate development, while calling on political leaders to prioritise national unity as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
