The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty to the party and declared its readiness to win all elective positions in the 2027 general elections.
The party’s State Publicity Secretary, Mrs Maria Dogo, stated this on Monday while briefing journalists on the outcome of the PDP Expanded Caucus Meeting held in Kaduna.
Dogo said the meeting was well attended by party leaders, stakeholders, elected and former office holders, as well as members from across the state.
According to her, the caucus meeting was convened to review the state of the party in Kaduna and brief members on ongoing efforts at the national level to reposition and strengthen the PDP ahead of future electoral contests.
She explained that the meeting also provided an opportunity for members to express their concerns and expectations regarding the party’s direction and preparedness for upcoming political engagements.
Dogo said party leaders briefed members on concrete steps being taken at the national level to address internal challenges and reposition the PDP for future elections, noting that members were given ample opportunity to air their views.
She said the caucus noted with satisfaction that the engagements helped to allay fears, restore confidence and reinforce belief in the future of the PDP.
She added that the caucus unanimously resolved to remain united, steadfast and committed to building a stronger and more cohesive PDP in Kaduna State and across the country.
According to Dogo, the caucus reiterated that the PDP, as Nigeria’s leading opposition party with strong grassroots structures, was fully prepared to mobilise its members and emerge victorious in all elective contests in the 2027 general elections.

She said the party also resolved to remain open to strategic collaboration with other like-minded political parties and stakeholders aimed at ending the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led governance beyond 2027 and providing credible, people-oriented leadership in Nigeria.
The spokesperson disclosed that the caucus encouraged all qualified party members to freely declare interest in contesting for elective offices, assuring them of fairness, inclusiveness and strict adherence to internal democratic principles.
She further said the meeting resolved that regular caucus meetings should be held at all levels of the party structure to strengthen unity, communication and grassroots mobilisation.
Dogo said the meeting ended on a note of renewed hope, unity and collective determination to reposition the PDP as a credible alternative capable of delivering good governance to Nigerians.
