Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has strongly denounced the recent attacks on Kpav, specifically targeting the Dikpo and Imande Gberihwa communities in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area.
The assault, which took place on Saturday, was reportedly carried out by armed men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, leaving an unspecified number of villagers dead.
Footage circulating on social media has revealed distressing scenes of lifeless bodies, sparking widespread outrage.
In a statement released by his media aide, Tersoo Kula, Governor Alia extended his condolences to the bereaved families and the affected communities, describing the attack as a stark reminder of the security challenges facing his administration.
“This level of brutality is unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” Alia asserted, condemning the killings in the strongest terms.
