The mysterious disappearance of Anambra businessman, Benjamin Ezemma, has sparked outrage and mounting calls for government action, more than eight months after he was last seen.
Ezemma, the CEO of GSS Real Estate and Investment Limited, reportedly went missing on November 12, 2024, after attending a meeting at a hotel with a politician linked to the 2025 Anambra governorship race. He has not been seen or heard from since.
On Thursday, July 24, youth leaders from across Nigeria, under the banner of the Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CONYL), called on President Bola Tinubu to instruct the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and other security agencies to immediately begin a full-scale investigation into the matter.
In a statement signed by its President-General, Comrade Ibem Goodluck, and released in Awka, the group described Ezemma as a prominent entrepreneur and a loving father of three children, all under five years old.

“The pain inflicted on this family is immeasurable. His young children ask their mother daily, ‘When will we see our father?’” the group said.
They warned that the incident is not merely a private tragedy, but a reflection of growing insecurity and disregard for the rule of law in the country.
CONYL urged authorities to treat the case with urgency, saying, “We will not remain silent in the face of such injustice. We stand in solidarity with Mr. Ezemma’s family and urge the government to act swiftly. Every moment counts in this critical situation.”
The group also demanded that no effort be spared in locating Ezemma and ensuring accountability for his disappearance.
