Popular Nollywood actress, Temitope Osoba, fondly known as Tope Osoba, has announced her return to the movie industry after successfully recovering from breast cancer.
Osoba, who has been away from the spotlight for over a year due to her health battle, made the announcement on her verified Instagram account on Monday, August 4, 2025.
In a heartfelt video post, she expressed profound gratitude to God, her family, well wishers, fans and supporters who stood by her during what she refers to as her darkest hour.
“Battling cancer wasn’t an easy thing for me but with your support, I pulled through” she stated.

“I am thrilled to reintroduce myself and to let you all know that I’m back and ready to bring my talent back to the screen”.
She described her recovery journey as a life-changing experience that has deepened her appreciation for health and loved ones.
Osoba’s announcement has been met with an overwhelming show of love from Nollywood colleagues and fans, many of whom flooded her comment section with congratulatory messages and prayers.
