Street-hop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has criticised social media activist Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, accusing him of misleading the public over the death of late singer Mohbad.

In a video shared online, Portable alleged that VeryDarkMan initially positioned himself as a campaigner for justice in Mohbad’s case but later shifted focus to attacking actress Iyabo Ojo, one of the most vocal figures in the #JusticeForMohbad movement.

“You came out saying you wanted justice for Mohbad. You’re a manipulator. Now you’re dragging Iyabo Ojo. What did she do? You were the one who first claimed Mohbad was killed, now you’ve changed your story,” Portable said.

He further urged the activist to “leave Mohbad and let him rest in peace,” accusing him of clubbing with the same people he called out over Mohbad’s death and unnecessarily stirring controversy around the late singer’s name.

Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, died in September 2023 under circumstances that sparked widespread calls for investigation. The case has since generated intense public debate, with fans, entertainers, and online commentators divided over how the campaign for justice is being handled.
