Customs College Graduates 50 Officers, Adeniyi Urges Innovation

The Nigeria Customs Service has graduated 50 officers from Junior Course 22 of its Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada.

This was disclosed in a statement the service posted on its X handle on Sunday.

According to the statement, speaking at the ceremony on Friday, Comptroller-General of Customs Adewale Adeniyi, represented by DCG Greg Itotoh, urged the graduates to embrace innovation, discipline, and resilience, stressing that the Service’s future depends on their commitment to excellence.

“As you return to your units, face the unknown with courage and determination, because as Customs officers, our duties are laced with challenges,” he said.

Commandant of the College, ACG Oluyomi Adebakin, said the training was designed to prepare officers for growing service demands in a complex operational environment. She noted that the course combined academics, physical drills, and teamwork exercises to produce well-rounded officers.

Awards were presented for outstanding performance, while all 50 officers received certificates, with the commandant charging them to serve as “good ambassadors” of the institution.
