The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has begun compiling its delegate list ahead of its national convention scheduled for November 15–16 in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, chairman of the main convention committee, disclosed this on Monday, October 6, during a meeting with the PDP National Convention Organising Committee Protocol Subcommittee in Abuja.
Fintiri reaffirmed the party’s commitment to transparency, fairness, and equal opportunity for all aspirants, saying, “We are fully committed to ensuring a successful convention and will spare no effort in achieving this goal.”
Expressing gratitude to the PDP for his political rise, Fintiri said, “Apart from my religious faith, the PDP is the organisation that has given me everything I have achieved in life.”
He assured that the leadership would not disappoint members, adding that all aspirants who purchased nomination forms would be screened fairly.

“We are not going to deny anyone the chance to contest. I will personally ensure that the screening process is transparent,” he said.
Fintiri urged members to engage openly, noting that the delegate selection process would be democratic.
“If you believe you’re popular, go out and test your strength. Ultimately, those supported by the majority will emerge victorious,” he added.
The governor observed renewed enthusiasm among party members, describing it as a sign of the PDP’s revival. He called for sacrifice and focus, assuring, “We will be victorious at the end.”
Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, chair of the Protocol Subcommittee, echoed the call for diligence, saying the convention would reflect the PDP’s vitality. “Our work begins in Ibadan, not Abuja. We must ensure everything runs smoothly,” he said.
