Paul Ibe, the media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has fired back at Senator Adams Oshiomhole over his remarks about his principal.
Oshiomhole, during an appearance on Channels Television over the weekend, had claimed that Atiku “allowed himself to be consumed by politics.”
The senator’s comment came after Atiku criticised President Bola Tinubu’s trip to Plateau State for the burial of the mother of APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.
Atiku had accused the president of lacking empathy for Nigerians who are losing their lives daily to terrorist attacks.

Reacting to the criticism, Oshiomhole said, “I have sympathy for Atiku. He has allowed himself to be consumed by politics.”
In a swift response, Paul Ibe took to his official X handle on Tuesday, the 7th of October, 2025, saying Oshiomhole’s words stemmed from fear of Atiku.
He wrote, “I have sympathy for Oshiomhole. He is tailoring sycophancy with a designer touch and has allowed himself to be consumed by the hate and fear of @atiku.”
