Youths under the aegis of the Youth Alliance for Northern Development on Friday held a special prayer session in Kano to celebrate the 40th birthday of President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu.
The prayer, which took place at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society Mosque on Sànusi Street, Sabon Gari, Kano, drew a large gathering of young people and well-wishers from across Northern Nigeria.
Leading the session, Sheikh Abdullateef Emiabata prayed for God’s continued blessings upon Seyi Tinubu, asking that he be granted long life, good health, and greater strength to sustain his commitment to youth empowerment, social responsibility, and national unity.
The cleric also invoked prayers for Nigeria’s peace, unity, and economic prosperity, citing verses from the Holy Quran.
“We pray that Almighty God will continue to shower His blessings on all Nigerians and ensure peace and unity prevail in the country,” Emiabata said. “We also pray that He grants the celebrant long life and good health so that he can continue promoting youth empowerment and national unity.”
Speaking to reporters after the event, the convener, Seyi Olorunsola, described the gathering as part of activities to honour a man he called a “distinguished youth icon, philanthropist, and visionary Nigerian.”

“We are celebrating Seyi’s 40th birthday. Despite holding no elective office, he has continued to champion educational and humanitarian causes, thereby serving as a moral example to the younger generation,” Olorunsola said.
Also speaking, a youth leader, Isyaku Rabi’u, said the prayer was a gesture of appreciation for Seyi Tinubu’s efforts in promoting youth empowerment across the country.
“It’s on record that Seyi has facilitated more than 50 appointments for the youth, especially in the North. So, as youths, we felt it necessary to appreciate and celebrate him,” Rabi’u added.
The event concluded with renewed prayers for the country’s progress and for the continued success of the Tinubu administration.
