The National Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), located at Wadata Plaza in Abuja, was sealed off by Operatives of the Nigeria Police on Wednesday, the 19th of November, 2025.
This dramatic security action is directly linked to the face-off that happened between two factions of the party on Tuesday, the 18th of November, 2025.
The preceding day’s events saw pandemonium broke out at the facility on Tuesday when one group, led by Saminu Turaki, engaged in a clash with another faction whose members are loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

The confrontation quickly escalated, impacting high-profile members, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and his Bauchi counterpart, Bala Mohammed, were teargassed during the confrontation.
