Security operatives in Benue State have taken seven Cameroonian nationals into custody over their alleged involvement in banditry and other criminal activities along the Nigeria–Cameroon border.
According to a post by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, on Tuesday, the suspects were intercepted on Monday by youths in Imande-Agbatse, a border community in Kwande Local Government Area, before being handed over to security forces.
Those arrested have been identified as Titakung Cyril Gadinga, Nuvi Clifford Babila, Foyabo Godwin Nuvi T., Doh Collins Dobgima, Basil Smith, Dama Kenneth Babila, and Dingana Emmanuel.
Community members who apprehended the men accused them of supporting and participating in criminal networks operating around the border axis.

The suspects are currently being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for profiling and further investigation.
Security sources said the situation in Benue remains calm, stressing that ongoing investigations will determine the extent of the suspects’ involvement in cross-border banditry.
Authorities have assured residents that additional updates will be provided as inquiries progress.
