The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has scheduled the formal presentation of the Certificate of Return to its Ekiti State governorship candidate, Dr Oluwole Oluyede, for Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
According to a statement released on Monday, December 8, by PDP National Publicity Secretary Comrade Ini Enemobong, the event will take place at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, starting at 2 pm.
“Following the successful conduct of the Ekiti State Gubernatorial Primary Election and subsequent ratification by the Appeal Panel, the National Working Committee hereby schedules the Presentation of Certificate of Return to our Candidate, Dr Oluwole Oluyede, for the June 20, 2026 Governorship Election in Ekiti State,” the statement said.
The PDP has invited party leaders, members of the National Executive Committee, serving and former governors, Board of Trustees members, current and past lawmakers, and other stakeholders to witness the occasion.

The party described the ceremony as a step to reinforce unity across its structures ahead of the 2026 governorship poll.
Dr Oluwole Oluyede, a medical professional, emerged victorious in the PDP’s primary election held from November 8 into the early hours of November 9.
He won 279 votes, defeating Funso Ayeni, who scored 239 votes, and Funmilayo Ogun, who garnered 17 votes.
The presentation marks a formal endorsement of Oluyede as the party’s candidate for the upcoming governorship contest in Ekiti State.
