Nigeria Immigration Service Alerts Public Over Fake Recruitment Post

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has issued a warning to the public over a circulating post on Facebook falsely claiming that the agency is recruiting.

In a statement released on Wednesday, December 10, the NIS described the post as “false” and urged Nigerians to disregard it, avoid interacting with it, and report the page immediately.

The service clarified that the only legitimate recruitment exercise currently ongoing is the one conducted by the Civil Defence, Corrections, Fire and Immigration Board (CDCFIB), whose results are still being awaited.

The NIS advised applicants to visit the official CDCFIB portal at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng for verified updates.

The warning comes amid growing reports of fake recruitment schemes circulating on social media, which often target unsuspecting job seekers with fraudulent offers.

The NIS said it remains committed to safeguarding the integrity of its recruitment process and ensuring that the public receives accurate information.

Authorities have continued to call on Nigerians to exercise caution online and to always verify recruitment announcements through official government channels.
