Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo‑Olu has appointed Dr. Sulaimon Olagoke Ogunmuyiwa as the Director‑General of the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA).
The appointment was publicly announced on December 12, 2025.
Dr. Ogunmuyiwa received his appointment letter at the Office of the Head of Service in Alausa, Ikeja, presented by Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro.
He has previously held senior positions within OEQA and has extensive experience in education administration and school evaluation.
In his new role, Dr. Ogunmuyiwa will oversee efforts to monitor schools, enforce compliance with educational standards, and improve teaching and learning outcomes across Lagos State.

The Office of Education Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring schools meet required standards and promoting continuous improvement in the state’s education sector.
Governor Sanwo‑Olu’s administration has emphasized the importance of education and continues to pursue reforms aimed at improving school performance across Lagos.
