A wave of grief swept across social media on Monday following reports that popular Instagram influencer known as Lazy Writa, whose real name is Anderson Demisa, has died by suicide after posting a poignant farewell message online.
The message, shared via his Instagram account shortly before his death, reflected on his life, relationships and personal struggles. In the emotional post, Demisa urged friends and loved ones not to cry for him, describing his life as “full and adventurous” and saying he felt “happy, unburdened and free.” He also expressed regret over unfinished personal dreams and thanked those closest to him for making his life meaningful.
In the post, Demisa revealed that he had deleted most of his social media accounts, leaving the message behind so that those who cared about him would “know the truth” and avoid speculation about his state of mind. He ended the note with words of love to friends and family, asking them to live fully and happily.
