A 200-level student of Babcock University, identified as Olaoluwa Subomi Lawson, has reportedly taken his own life at his father’s residence in Redemption Camp City, Ogun State.
According to intelligence sources quoted by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, on Wednesday, the incident was formally reported on Tuesday by a relative, who resides in Festac Town, Lagos.
The deceased relative (Name Unknown) also disclosed that the family received distressing information from Lawson’s mother, Olufunke Lawson, who resides in the United Kingdom.

She informed the family that her son had taken his life by hanging himself in his room.
The motive behind the tragic incident remains unknown, and the matter is currently under investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
