Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, saying current political realities have made it necessary for him to seek another platform to pursue his governance agenda.

Mutfwang conveyed his decision in a letter dated December 29, 2025, addressed to the PDP chairman of Ampang West Ward, Dasjak Sunday Longyol.

The letter, which was obtained in Jos on Thursday, January 1, was personally signed by the governor.
