Guardiola Under Fire As City Fall Again, Europe Delivers Stunning UCL Night

Pep Guardiola’s troubles continued to mount as his side’s difficult spell deepened following a damaging run of defeats in both domestic and European competition.

Fresh from a heavy 2–0 loss to Manchester United over the weekend, Guardiola’s men endured another painful night on Tuesday as they were beaten 3–1 by Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League.

The setback further intensified scrutiny on the team’s form and discipline at a crucial stage of the season.

Bodo/Glimt stunned their opponents with a devastating first-half spell, as Hough K. struck twice in quick succession in the 22nd and 24th minutes to put the Norwegian side firmly in control.

The hosts continued their dominance after the break, with Hauge J. making it 3–0 in the 58th minute following sustained pressure.

A brief response came when Cherki R. pulled one back in the 60th minute to reduce the deficit to 3–1, but any hopes of a comeback quickly faded.

The situation worsened for Guardiola’s side when Rodri was sent off after picking up a second yellow card, leaving his team short-handed for the remainder of the match.

Elsewhere in Tuesday night’s Champions League action, Real Madrid produced a ruthless display at home, crushing Monaco 6–1, with Kylian Mbappé scoring twice.
