Kendrick Lamar Tops Grammy Nominations Ahead Awards Night

American rap star Kendrick Lamar has taken the lead as the artist with the highest number of nominations ahead of the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, scheduled for Sunday, the 1st of February, 2026, in Los Angeles.

The multiple award-winning rapper tops the list of nominees with nine nods, further underscoring his strong presence in some of the ceremony’s biggest categories.

Trailing behind him is global pop icon Lady Gaga, who secured seven nominations. Bad Bunny, pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter, and R&B singer-songwriter Leon Thomas are jointly placed next, each earning six nominations apiece.
