The Commander of the 14 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Ahmad Mansur Dikko, conducted an operational assessment visit to the headquarters of Sector 3, Operation Delta Safe (OPDS) in Owaza, Ukwa West Local Government, as part of efforts to strengthen operational effectiveness under Operation Eastern Sanitation.
Accompanied by Commodore BU Quadri, Commandant of the Nigeria Navy College of Accounting and Finance (NNCAF), Brigadier General Dikko also visited Sector 8, Operation CRUSH in Akirika Obu, where he addressed troops.
In a statement on Friday, Captain Mazinho Attah, Assistant Director of Army Public Relations for the 14 Brigade in Ohafia, Abia State, said the commander emphasised professionalism, strict adherence to constitutional responsibilities, and discipline in the discharge of duties. He urged troops to maintain a heightened state of alertness given the unpredictable security environment within their Area of Responsibility.

The statement added that 23 mattresses were procured for troops to boost morale in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s philosophy, while Brigadier General Dikko handed over a refurbished Toyota Hilux vehicle at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Owaza to enhance operational readiness and quick response capability.
The visit underscores the Brigade’s commitment to the welfare and operational efficiency of troops, as well as its dedication to protecting citizens, securing lives and property, and defending Nigeria’s sovereignty in the South East region.
