APC Kicks Off NWC Aspirants Screening Ahead Of National Convention

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced the screening of aspirants seeking positions on its National Working Committee (NWC) as the party prepares for its national convention later this month.

The screening exercise began on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in Abuja, requiring all aspirants who submitted expressions of interest and nomination forms to appear in person with the necessary documents.

The vetting is a mandatory step to verify eligibility and ensure aspirants meet the party’s criteria for national leadership roles.

The screening panel, led by senior party officials, emphasized that the process would be conducted transparently and fairly.

Officials warned that any aspirant failing to appear for the exercise risks disqualification from contesting at the convention.

The APC national convention is set for Friday and Saturday, March 27–28, 2026, where delegates will elect leaders for all key NWC positions, including the national chairman and deputy roles.

The screening marks the final step before the convention, with attention now focused on which aspirants will clear vetting and how delegates will vote.
