2027: Tinubu, APC Unsettled Over ADC’s Rising Momentum — Atiku

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of being unsettled by the rising influence of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, March 31, by his spokesperson, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku claimed that the growing momentum around the ADC has positioned him as “the center of gravity in the unfolding 2027 political equation.” He alleged that this development has triggered fear within the ruling party.

Atiku also raised concerns over what he described as a coordinated campaign of disinformation aimed at weakening the ADC’s progress. He dismissed reports suggesting he has retired from politics, describing them as false.

“This is not sentiment. It is political reality. And it is precisely this growing convergence, this widening field of attraction that has triggered panic among anti-democratic elements who now resort to crude propaganda in a desperate attempt to fracture a momentum they neither understand nor can contain.

“Those who understand power know that what some dismiss as “noise” is often the earliest signal of movement, revealing where attention is drifting, where interests are recalibrating, and where the next realignment may ultimately settle.

“No amount of disinformation will halt this movement. The determination of Nigerians far outweighs the fear of those who have failed them.

“We urge supporters of Atiku Abubakar, members of the ADC, and all well-meaning Nigerians to disregard this propaganda in its entirety and remain steadfast in the collective mission to rebuild our nation,” he stated.&

The development comes shortly after former Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, joined the ADC on Monday, as political realignments continue ahead of the 2027 elections.
