Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed optimism about the future of the African Democratic Congress following a strategic meeting with party stakeholders in Adamawa State.
Atiku disclosed this in a statement shared via his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday, noting that the engagement focused on strengthening the party’s internal structure, particularly ongoing membership registration and mobilisation efforts.
According to him, discussions during the meeting centered on assessing the current state of the party in Adamawa and exploring pathways to deepen grassroots participation.
“We reviewed the current state of our party, particularly regarding the ongoing registration of members and mobilisation efforts.

We are confident about where we stand now and enthusiastic about future prospects,” he said.
The meeting, which brought together key stakeholders within the state chapter of the party, is seen as part of broader efforts to consolidate the ADC’s presence ahead of future political contests.
Observers note that Atiku’s involvement signals increased political activity within the party, especially as political alignments continue to evolve across the country.
For party supporters in Adamawa, the meeting represents a renewed push to strengthen unity, expand membership, and position the ADC as a viable platform in the state’s political landscape.
