Air Peace Flights Delayed In Abuja Due To Baggage System Glitch

Operations at the domestic terminal of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja were disrupted on Monday after a technical fault affected baggage screening equipment, causing delays for passengers flying with Air Peace.

In a statement released by its management, the airline confirmed that the glitch had slowed baggage processing and loading, significantly affecting scheduled departures.

The issue left numerous passengers stranded at the terminal, with some expressing frustration over the prolonged waiting times.

“We sincerely regret to inform you of a temporary disruption affecting flight operations at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Domestic Terminal, specifically impacting baggage processing and loading,” the airline stated.

Air Peace explained that the disruption was traced to a malfunction in the terminal’s baggage screening system, which hindered normal operational flow.

The airline appealed to passengers for understanding, noting that measures were being taken to reduce the impact.

“We understand the inconvenience and uncertainty this may cause, and we truly appreciate your patience during this time,” the statement added.

To maintain flight operations, Air Peace said it had implemented alternative screening procedures using available equipment, though these measures could result in longer processing times and potential delays for some departures.

“To minimise disruption, we have proactively activated alternative screening procedures using available equipment to ensure flights continue operating safely.
